Mount Felix Vineyard and Winery

Mount Felix Vineyard and Winery is located in Havre De Grace, Maryland and is the  first Maryland winery we have ever been to. When we first moved to Maryland, we lived in Havre De Grace for about a year and visited this winery a few times. They are making mostly sweet wines, but also a few dry whites and reds. Mount Felix was founded in 2004 by Peter Ianniello. He was introduced to wine and inspired by his grandfathers, Luigi & Giulio. Luigi referred to his wine as "grandpa's milk" and Giulio made his own wine. There is Italian influence in their wines and fun creativity in wines like their Mangonnay. For the bottle review podcast, we did their Zuccato. It was sweet and full of fall flavors like pumpkin, cinnamon, orange, nutmeg, cloves and lemon. Acidity was medium. We speculated that the wine may have either been named after an Italian food company or possibly the grape being moscato. The ABV was pretty high for a sweet wine, coming in at 12.2%. You can also enjoy a driving range when you visit the winery and can even play at night for "glow in the dark" driving. Most recently we saw them at the Gunpowder Wine Trail's 1st Annual Wine Festival which was fun! Their 20th anniversary year was celebrated during 2024. Happy Belated 20th, cheers!
