Love Point Vineyards and Winery

Love Point Vineyards and Winery is located in Stevensville, Maryland, right on the water. It is owned by Tim and Karen Seppi and named after their love story. Tim had been making wine and Karen was an estate manager on a property with a vineyard. Tim helped the owners revive their grapes and was allowed to use some to make his own wine. Karen got involved and helped Tim, they fell in love and the rest is history. Love Point planted their first vines in 2004 and the tasting room opened in 2022. We had the pleasure of  visiting this winery, along with Great Frogs and Cascia Vineyards and Winery in the same trip since they are all pretty close together. We ordered a few flights and tasted through a number of wines they were offering. The views that day were, unfortunately, a little hazy and foggy, but we could still see the large lawn they have outside, overlooking the bay. It is a lovely property with a beachy feel. Our favorites from our tasting were the seyval blanc and rose. The seyval was included in our vertical tasting with food pairing article so check that out! We got banana, pear, lime, grapefruit and baking spices from that white. We did a bottle review podcast on their rose so check that out, as well. It was made from cabernet sauvignon, off dry, medium acid and a great pink-orange color. On the nose it was floral, fruity and had mineral notes of clay and slate. Tasting it brought fruit flavors from cherry, melon, strawberry, watermelon and peach. They say "There's love in very bottle!" and we certainly agree.
