Boyd Cru Wines

Boyd Cru Wines' tasting room is located in Savage, Maryland and is very passionate about people, family and the community. The company was started in April 2023 and the tasting room just opened to the public in 2024. The Cru in Boyd Cru stands for growth and they are looking forward to growing with their customers and community. Owners, Jon'll and Matthew both have MBA's and Matthew has a knowledge of chemistry. All of their wines are locally sourced from the Eastern Shore and their wine is made in Poolesville. The tasting room is on the ground floor of Savage Mill in the New Weave Building. You'll walk past a hand full of local shops and boutiques before heading into their tasting room, which is across from a coffee vendor. Immediately upon walking in you will notice all of the beautiful art on the walls, featuring local minority artists. The artist's art featured during June 2025 is Karrington Hayes @sanaapaints. You have the option of sitting at the bar or at one of the surrounding tables. We were given great service by Jon'll's mother, who was working at the bar the day we visited. She got us a flight to share and a glass of their sparkling vidal. Our favorite was, by far, the vidal blanc. There was so much ripe pineapple on the nose and on the palate, along with melon, ginger and lemon. The Living Legacy was a red blend fully of fresh red fruit like cherry and plum, along with pepper and a nice finish. It was light to medium body and a great summer red. Welcome to one of Maryland's newest wineries! They are already making some pretty great wine.
